More Information

Sensafety intends to uncover the general feeling of safety in urban public spaces and make it accessible to everyone in the spirit of transparency. It maps urban anxiety areas and problem zones that cannot be identified as such due to a low crime rate and an insignificant number of reported accidents, and documents the development of these before and after urban changes.

How does Sensafety work? Participants use the Sensafety App to rate whether they feel safe or unsafe at their current location in public space. All ratings are anonymized, collected, processed and the location-specific and commonly perceived safety being visualized simply and intuitively in the Sensafety App.

If you are interested, join our initiative, download the App and become an urban safety scientist of your neighborhood.
