Southwest Wings: Summer Festival – W2 Garden Canyon Field Trip

Join professional guide Ken Blankenship on a full day exploring Garden Canyon, hidden within Fort Huachuca. We will explore a variety of habitats including foothill grasslands, sycamore-lined canyon woodland, and pine forest. We will search for regional and mountain specialties such as Elegant Trogon, Arizona Woodpecker, Sulphur-bellied, Buff-breasted and Dusky-capped Flycatchers, Plumbeous Vireo, Painted Redstart, Grace’s Warbler and Hepatic Tanager. Access to Upper Garden Canyon may be restricted, and a two-mile hike is to be expected. Bring hat, sun protection and walking shoes.
