Started in 2016, Delran Cubs S.T.E.A.M. Up Summer Camp offers hands-on, inquiry-based activities with student engagement, centered around weekly themes in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. With the freedom of a summer camp experience, Delran Public Schools hopes to transfer this excitement about S.T.E.M./S.T.E.A.M. to elementary students of all levels and abilities, and allow them to experience the collaboration, problem solving, creative thinking, and teamwork that are essential skills of the 21st Century.

STEAM CAMP PROGRAM - Entering Grades 2-5
AM STEAM Camp: Engineering Challenges from 8am-11am. Register for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Campers will participate in weekly themed engineering challenges– see the chart below for the different themes!
PM STEAM Camp: Coding & Robotics from 11:45am-2:45pm. Register for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Campers will learn basic coding, build LEGO robots, and learn to program them. Campers who attend multiple weeks will get to build more complex robots and learn more intricate programming.

STEAM ACADEMY IN THE FAB LAB PROGRAM - Entering Grades 6-8
A hands-on STEAM experience in the state of the art Delran Innovation & Fabrication Lab!
Academy Campers will work on Computer Aided Design software, and work with a variety of machines and equipment available in the lab, including die cutters, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, heat press, etc.

Summer Camp Objectives:
To provide students currently enrolled in Delran Schools and the surrounding areas with an opportunity to participate in hands-on, inquiry-based S.T.E.A.M. activities.
To provide participants opportunities for: Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity.
To increase participants’ understanding of the engineering design process.
