Though regularly used in elementary school, games are often overlooked and underutilized in middle school math. Not only do they promote student engagement, but they also provide opportunities for discourse, argumentation, in-context practice, and development of new ideas. Come join us for a fun-filled session to see the power of games for both instruction and assessment in the middle grades. Presenters: TBA Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm Location: Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom. Earn: Up to 5 hours of professional development credit for recertification. **NOTE: Participants will be expected to take a task back to their classrooms, collect and analyze student work, and share their reflections with the CRR.
