More Information

When studying the different types of rocks, kids can quickly lose track of the characteristics of each type. This activity can help them remember at least one type of rock! We’ll have a variety of food materials that kids will combine and squeeze to make a new solid “rock” of food. Kids will note the changes and forces used to create their “sedimentary rock.” How does the food look different than before? In what ways is it the same?
