More Information

Rio Vista Park is one of a handful of Natural Resource Parks in the City of Tucson. We will walk from the park-like area through natural open scrub vegetation with fairly open views of wildlife. We should see out typical resident birds, migrants, and recent spring arrivals. We will be walking about a mile loop around the park. Leaders: Gary Bachman and Scott Olmstead Trip difficulty: We will meet in the developed area near the parking lot. An improved network of trails provides access through the park. The trails are evenly graded and wide. They may be slippery if it has rained recently. The total walk will be about 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace. This is an easy, casual walk on well-formed, mostly level paths. Registration for Tucson Bird Alliance Members is free. Non-members can join for a non-refundable fee of $5.
