The Phenology Project, launched in September 2019, currently monitors seasonal changes in 13 tree species in Washington Square Park. The goals of the project are: to develop baseline information and produce long-term information about plant phenophases in the park, to contribute to regional and national phenology databases and studies, and to provide community science and environmental learning opportunities.
