What's Up & Astronomy Basics

This is both in-person and Zoom to cover What's Up in the monthly sky, basics in astronomy, current Astronomical League programs, segments of other classes (like from our observatory training certification), and more.  Whether you're a member (or just haven't signed up yet), there's something for everyone.

October 9, 2024:  Space Weather (solar maximum, the Astronomical League make-your-own magnetometer program), comets, the emminent Blaze Star nova & night sky chart navigation.

November 13, 2024:  Telescopes 101 (prep for Membership meeting annual buyer's workshop)

December 11, 2024:  TBD as this falls on the annual Membership holiday pot luck meeting.  Come eat with us (but you'll need to join), as there will be astronomy trivia, prizes, raffles and great food.
