“Exploring Careers in S.T.E.M.” Badge Workshop

The Engineers Club of Dayton will be hosting a workshop for Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. During this event, Scouts will earn their “Exploring Careers in S.T.E.M.” badges. The Scouts will have the opportunity to hear about different career options, see live demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities. This event is geared toward Cadettes but is open to all Girl Scouts of Western Ohio; pre-registration with their troop and Council is required.
 
In recognition of Charles Kettering’s 150 th birthday, the Scouts will celebrate with a Victorian- themed party complete with tea and cake. The Scouts will be able to explore the Club and its historical artifacts, including the world’s first cash register, and sit at Orville Wright’s favorite dining room table. Throughout the Club, activities will be available for the Scouts to learn about S.T.E.M. careers through practical applications like soap-making. Surprise guests, including Mr. Kettering himself, will welcome visitors.
