Outside of research she loves to row, hike, and draw. Sam Charney is a 1st year astronomy PhD student at UW. He’s still trying to decide what he will focus on, as his interests range from near-field cosmology (this talk!) to time-domain astronomy and variable stars. In his free time, he plays all sorts of games: role-playing, card, board, video, etc.
