Astronomy on Tap Charlottesville: The Power of Radio Astronomy!

Come join us on Monday, March 9th from 7-9pm at Firefly Restaurant & Game Room for a night of free astronomy talks, trivia, and prizes targeted at a general audience. We’ll have talks by professional astronomers from the University of Virginia and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory on the biggest stars in the universe, the importance of radio astronomy, and how to make a planet!!

Firefly will be open on Monday starting at 5pm before our event. Stop by early for some dinner and drinks. The kitchen and bar will stay open all throughout the event as well! During the event, we may have telescopes set up to observe objects in the night sky (weather permitting of course)! New for this event, we’ll have a livestream available for those that cannot physically attend in person.
