ecoEXPLORE is a community science project that encourages youth ages 5-13 to get outside and explore nature!
National Moth Week is a project of the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission, and is coordinated by a team of volunteers around the world whose expertise ranges from entomology and biology to art and communications. All share a desire to celebrate moths’ beauty, diversity and important role in the environment and to engage new audiences in appreciating and observing them. As part of National Moth Week and the North Carolina Moth Week, the Cowan Museum of History and Science will hold a Moth Night event on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at 411 S. Main Street, Kenansville, NC 28349. The following is more information about the event: Observation stations will be in the historical park and in the gardens with educational information, including ID charts, moth bait recipes, and Moth Bingo handouts.
