Welcome to Engineering 101! In this hands-on class, you’ll discover what an engineer is, discover how things work, and build problem solving skills. You will also get an introduction into the exciting world of robotics and technology!

Taking what we learned from last weeks class, students will complete various engineering challenges and put their problem solving skills to work!

Spend the class learning all about your favorite Arctic animals and how they are able to live in such a cold place!

Drop your homeschooler off for a fun fieldtrip where they will learn all about raptors with owl pellets, rockets, animal adaptations, and water quality.

Discover the awesome power of sound! Create sound waves in a tube. Match mystery sounds. Test your hearing. Sort high and low pitches on a turntable. Can you locate a cricket and cat in a kitchen just by listening? Mix a soundtrack. Launch a sound wave toward an eardrum. How many decibels can you produce with your own voice? Team up and let out a roar in the Scream Chamber! SONIC SENSATION is on exhibit September 7, 2024 through January 5, 2025 at the Children’s Museum & Science Center at the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences in Rocky Mount.
