Join us for a fun-filled, nature-inspired adventure at Bugs & Blooms Camp! This hands-on camp invites young explorers to get their hands dirty in the garden and explore the world around them. Campers will help plant, tend to, and nurture a beautiful garden while learning about the incredible insects and critters that help it grow. Join us for a prehistoric twist on a classic tradition. Families are invited to participate in our exciting DINO EGG HUNT at CSC on March 28th.Check-in begins at 7:30 AM in both the South and North lobbies, with the great dino egg search running from 9:00–10:00 AM. Little paleontologists will search for eggs hidden throughout the museum’s main building (excluding the DINO exhibit). Some eggs will be extra special, so keep an eye out for prize eggs hidden throughout the museum! Pre- Registration is required. Pricing: Youth Members: $4 + tax Adult Members: Free Non-Member Youth: $18 + tax Non-Member Adults: $16 + tax Each ticket includes admission to the museum after the event, so families can continue the fun all day long. Join us at the Cowan Museum of History and Science for our annual ecoBLAST, as part of the North Carolina Science Festival. This year, we’ll celebrate our green (plants) and wild (animals) friends who live in North Carolina.  There will be fun educational activities, live animals, a plant sale, prizes, food, and ice cream! This event is free to the public and welcomes people of all ages.

Learn how to safely evacuate an aircraft after an emergency water landing- just like the landing of US Airways Flight 1549!   Led by a former US Airways training specialist, this hands-on activity is  FREE with admission to the museum and suitable for most ages.

Join us for Science At Play, where science comes to life for even the littlest learners! Get ready for a morning of hands-on discovery where curiosity leads the way. Investigate ooey-gooey materials like slime, help build a collaborative city, explore the science inside your own body, and discover why science matters. The Museum will be open for regular exploration in addition to Science At Play activities. Science At Play is proud to be part of the statewide NC Science Festival. This year’s theme, “Science Matters”, highlights the important role science plays in our lives, and Science At Play invites families to experience just how meaningful (and fun!) it can be.

The LAB can be found at the end of the South entrance hallway across from Velo-City.   SPARK is a STEM career showcase featuring local industries in the Carolina Foothills. The Children’s Museum of Wilmington believes that children learn best through hands-on and creative educational experiences.
