More Information

This project establishes an independent baseline of hydrological, riparian, and tectonic observations at Lake Doyle in Payette, Idaho. Located on an off-grid wildlife sanctuary, within a diverse mixed land usage delegations from residential to heavy industrial. An approximately 1/3 acre lake and connected riparian area compose the primary observation site. An area that experiences unique subterranean pressure shifts and water level fluctuations linked to regional geology and fluid dynamics. Volunteers and citizen scientists help track daily environmental conditions, including water level measurements, visual surface changes, and shifts in ecological diversity. By gathering this continuous data, the project monitors local ecosystem health, supports environmental mitigation efforts, and tracks the intricate connections between local hydrology and regional tectonic activity.
