Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: 100 Miles in 100 Days – Tortuga

Not quite ready for Elephant Mountain? Join Ranger Shaun for a warmup! Enjoy a slower paced, somewhat easier hike on Tortuga trail to add a cool 3.3 miles to your 100m/ds tracker and make sure you’re ready to ride the elephant. We’ll talk about cool things we see along the way, enjoy our late fall weather and learn about conservation and Leave No Trace hiking so our amazing parks will be here for generations to come! MEETING LOCATION: Spur Cross Shaded Picnic area *Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Annual Pass or CASH only (exact change appreciated). Credit/Debit/Mobile not accepted. Limit 10 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
