More Information

Join Ranger Kevin for an evening of fun and adventure as we set off in search of desert wildlife. Enjoy a roughly two-mile evening hike on the Wild Burro trail. We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to scorpions, spiders, snakes, fox, coyote, deer, owls and more! The trail is rated easy-moderate with some rocky, uneven surfaces and some elevation change. Water and restrooms are available at the trailhead. Please bring plenty of water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. MEETING LOCATION: Wild Burro Day Use Area Limit 12 participants. To register, please email Ranger Kevin at Kevin.Thorson@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 9/24. Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.     Free with Park Fee
