Join Ranger Nikki on an evening stroll to search for a variety of nocturnal critters. Ranger Nikki will lead you on an evening walk to seek out scorpions, bats, owls, tarantulas and other nocturnal critters. The route follows Coldwater Trail for an out-and-back easy to moderate walk covering 2 to 2.5 miles in total. The terrain on Coldwater is mostly smooth and flat but there will be a few areas with small to medium rocks underfoot. Bring your blacklight and a regular flashlight. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. A portable restroom is available at Coldwater Trailhead. Indoor restrooms and water are available nearby at the Rainbow Valley Trailhead, west of Coldwater Trailhead. Please bring $7 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle.
