The hike will cover 3.5 miles out and back along the Bald Eagle Trail and the Auga Fria River and is considered as moderate. Hikers need to hiking boots and trekking poles are strongly encouraged as the trail is very rocky. The hike may be shorter if lake levels have risen cutting off access to the riverbed. Hikers will be able to see native American pottery, and have views of Indian mesa and surrounding mountains on this hike.
