More Information
Join Ranger Kevin for an educational morning hike amongst the plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert. We’ll head out into the desert for an easy morning hike and a fun, interesting talk. We’ll focus on the survival strategies of various plants and animals, all the while watching out for wildlife like rabbits, quail, hawks, snakes, lizards and insects. Our 3-mile route will be on the North trail, which is rated easy, with small amounts of loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Restrooms are available a short distance from the trailhead. Please know your heat tolerance, dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water. MEETING LOCATION: North Trailhead Precise Meeting Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/uTX5PfGSjkkVeUnm6 PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
