Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Desert Plants

Stop by the garden after your morning hike and visit Ranger Derik to learn about the many species of plants that call Hassayampa River Preserve home. A table will be set up with plant samples from around the park as well as several plant guidebooks to identify the plants you saw or your hikes in the park. Also covered at this table will be the many desert edible plants that can be foraged in the Sonoran Desert. A ranger will be station at the table to answer your questions and help you identify your species. MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center garden No registration required.
