More Information
Join Ranger Kevin for an autumn evening stroll in the desert. Enjoy a roughly 2-mile walk on the Blevins and Noso trails. We’ll be walking through a gorgeous “forest” of chainfruit cholla cactus while the sun sets over the western horizon and the colors of the desert slowly drain into twilight. At the same time, we’ll keep a sharp eye open for any critters that may be out and about. Trails are rated easy, with little loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available near the parking area. NO pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area Precise Meeting Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UXsF3KnXYsTMWnon8 Please note: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. Please check the program listing online before coming to the park. Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 9 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/16.
