Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Stargazing

Join Ranger Kevin for an evening of summer stargazing! Clear skies permitting, we’ll be viewing a selection of objects through a portable telescope. Possibilities include planets, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters! We’ll also identify some major constellations with a laser pointer, and hear stories connected to them. Bring your sky-related questions! Family friendly program. Bring chairs if you’d like to sit. Restrooms are available nearby, but please bring plenty of water. NO pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: Spur Cross trailhead, which can be found past the entry station, near the Portapotties. If entry station is closed, please place your money in the payment box at the gate. Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8.
