More Information

This project proposes to use environmental DNA (e-DNA) to document baseline conditions in the Narraguagus River for fish, algae, freshwater mussels and macroinvertebrates for a future liming project. Water quality studies show that pH, alkalinity, and calcium are below critical thresholds for Atlantic salmon, aquatic community health, and to protect treaty fishing rights.
