This month’s Astronomy on Tap Seattle will be on Wednesday, May 20th at 7pm at Stoup Brewing – Capitol Hill! Come By for some super cool science talks and maybe win some prizes at astronomy trivia! We’ll be hearing from Pip Petersen on how to infer the age of the Universe from large scale structure, and from Maxine West on the computer science challenges in the massive volume of data from the Rubin Observatory. Each FREE Astronomy on Tap event features an accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. Most events have games and prizes to test and reward your new-found knowledge! There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
