More Information

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll explore what makes a fire burn and how wildfires behave in nature. You’ll experiment with things like fuel (what’s burning), moisture, hills, and more to see how they affect fire. This exciting session is based on a special curriculum designed by wildfire scientists who want to inspire the next generation of nature protectors and community leaders–like you! Reservations are required.       Part of Flagstaff Festival of Science, a free annual 10-day event wholly designed to promote awareness and enthusiasm for science in and about northern Arizona and beyond, and is fondly known as the Best 10 Days of the Year. Established in 1990, it is the longest, continuously running, entirely free science festival in the world.
