Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: All About Monsoons

Join Ranger Nikki for an indoor presentation to learn all about our fascinating and sometimes elusive summer monsoon! Summer in our desert is the time we hope for the much-needed “monsoon season” storms that typically bring us over half of our annual rainfall. Aside from massive downpours they can also bring dust, thunderstorms, hail and more! Ranger Nikki will lead a talk on how these storms form and what you can do to stay safe when Mother Nature comes at us full force. Bring water and snacks for this presentation that takes place inside the air-conditioned Nature Center. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
