More Information

Join Ranger Kevin for an early morning walk in search of wildlife. Enjoy a roughly 3-mile hike on the scenic North trail. We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of wildlife along the way. Some animals we may see include mule deer, javelina, squirrels, rabbits, various species of birds and perhaps a reptile or two. Trail is rated easy, with very little loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. NO pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: North trailhead (about 10 min drive past the park entrance) Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/18/24. Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.     Free with Park Fee
