Join Ranger Jacque on this morning hike to learn about all the plants and living features you see around you. Join Ranger Jacque for a guided hike to learn about plants and living systems on the trail. We will hike 2.9 miles on the North Trail loop, rated as easy, but with some uneven or sandy surfaces. Please dress appropriately, wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available just north of the trailhead parking. MEETING LOCATION: North trailhead (about 10 min drive past the park entrance) Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the McDowell Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 09/24/24. Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.     Free with Park Fee
