Join Ranger Nikki on an evening stroll to search for a variety of nocturnal critters. Click program title for more details. Ranger Nikki will lead you on an evening walk to seek out bats, owls, fox, coyote and other twilight and nocturnal critters. This is an out-and-back walk along Pemberton Trail for approximately 2 miles total. The terrain is mostly smooth and flat but there are some areas that are uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Bring a regular flashlight and optional blacklight if the temperature is mild for scorpion searching. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead. To register, please call the McDowell Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
