More Information

Join Ranger Olivia on an evening stroll to watch the full moon rise over the mountains. Ranger Olivia will lead you on an evening walk to enjoy a peaceful evening in the desert as the full moon rises. We will also keep an eye and ear out for any creatures that may be stirring, such as owls, coyotes, rodents and more. This is an out-and-back walk approximately 2 miles total distance. We will head out on Spur Cross Trail and move onto Metate Trail to enjoy the moon glow. The terrain is mostly level but there are some uneven portions with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring and flashlight and plenty of water. No pets, please. Restrooms are available at the Trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Picnic Tables Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 03/12/2025.
