Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike

Learn all about plants of the Sonoran Desert during this guided hike with Ranger Olivia Enjoy a guided nature hike along some of our trails to see all the beauty the desert has to offer. We will hike along the Dragonfly Loop trail, which is rated moderate with some uneven/rocky surfaces so please wear closed-toed shoes. Bring any questions you have about the plants and animals that reside in the desert, along with plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the Spur Cross main trailhead another 0.5 miles past Jewel of the Creek, please plan accordingly. MEETING LOCATION: Jewel of the Creek Preserve Parking lot Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
