More Information
Join Ranger Nikki to look for early signs of wildflowers and other blooming plants. Ranger Nikki will lead you on a hike to talk about a variety of plants along the trail. Depending on how much winter rainfall we received, there may be signs of common wildflowers such as lupine, poppy, and scorpionweed and perennial plants such as globemallow, brittlebush and wishbone bush. The route is an out-and-back hike on Slate and part of Flume Trails for up to 3 miles roundtrip. The terrain varies from level and smooth to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and Trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Slate Trailhead on Tonalite Drive Map of meeting location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zKU6z5681SfPMj7u8 Limit 20 participants.
