More Information
Come along with Ranger Shaun for a morning walk and talk! Walk Slate Trail and enjoy our rapidly fading winter coolness. We’ll talk about plants, animals, and the desert in the winter! Closed toe shoes and water bottles required. No pets please. This is a roughly 2.5-mile hike on a moderate rated trail. There are some sizable rocks as slate trail is named for the large pieces of slate found along the way, so poles or walking sticks can be useful, but are not required. MEETING LOCATION: Slate Trailhead Limit 10 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 02/06/2025.
