More Information

The South Jersey Astronomy Club hosts public skywatches on the recreation field at the Belleplain State Forest several times throughout the year. Skywatches begin at varying times (check our website, sjac.us, for the most current information), and admission is free! Once in Belleplain State Forest, follow the signs to the public parking lot (free) and then walk the short distance to the observing field. Telescopes will be set up to provide beautiful view of objects in the night sky. Just walk up to any telescope and ask a SJAC member what they are viewing and if you can take a look. Check our website for some helpful tips about attending these events.

Rainy or cloudy conditions on Friday night sky watches will move the event to Saturday. Bad weather on Saturday will cancel the event. Any changes or cancellations will be posted our club website (https://sjac.us/).
